What do you think? Have you seen or heard the stories and pictures of Bill Henson's latest imagery?
These are several comments I found when browzing the net. I thought how it applied to us in relation to how society shapes media in terms of levels of social acceptability. It seems that although we think we can get away with anything, this is not the case. I have attatched links for a clip on the current story with the sensored images. I have seen his images at the National art gallery. None were as controversial that i saw that time as i did this year. Personally I think Bill Hensons a bit of a weirdo. I feel really sorry for that poor little boy and girl (12yrs old) who have now been told what they did with Henson is pornography. Well here are some other peoples say. what do you think?

That argument was that an underaged girl was photographed in a potentially pornographic format and the police are investigating.
I do appreciate art and the oppurtunity for artists to push boundaries but the doco still portrayed the young in a sexual way - it did not change my opinion of Hensen's work.
I repeat my previous remark - there has been a lot of sexualisation of younger girls in our society and not enough is being done to protect the young. Art is good but our young is more important.
If she was beaten up and then photographed there would not be any conflict. Yet sexualising the young is just as criminal as physical abuse.
